On Tuesday, The New York Times’ Lens blog posted a photo album by an unknown Nazi photographer. The content of the photographs range from Jewish POW’s to Hitler himself. The images are powerful in their own right, and of course as a first-hand account of history. But the coolest part of this story is that the photographer was identified within three hours of the publication by readers around the world.
